Mechanical Engineering Department
The department of Mechanical Engineering is well equipped with labs and amenities for Mechanical Engineering Section.
There are following laboratories in department
- Thermal Engineering Lab.
- Heat Transfer Lab
- CAD/CAM Lab
- Metrology and Quality Control Lab
- Material Science Lab
- Metallurgy Lab
- Seminar Hall Equipped with LCD Projector
- Theory of Machine Lab
- Work Shop
- Computer Lab.
There are also special purpose machines like CNC Lathe and CNC Milling. Considering the basic equirement of Mechanical Engineering, the college has a well equipped workshop. There are total 32 Lathe Machines, One Radial Drilling Machine, Two Milling Machines, Three Shaping Machines, One Capstan Lathe and a large number of general Machinery in the workshop. This department also offers industrial consultancy and testing facility like pipe testing, developing of software for industrial process etc. Number of projects are completed successfully. Some complete projects are used as laboratory equipments. Some Non-Conventional Energy based projects are under progress.
The highlighted industrial project completed so far :
* Visual production software for R. M.Chemicals Private Ltd. Dhule (M.S.) (3-P unit of Hindustan Lever)
* The Department’s focus is on energy conservation by energy auditing & optimization of energy use
