Department Profile
The Department of First Year Engineering was established in 1983 with an initial intake of 240 Students, with minimum infrastructure of two laboratories Physics & Chemistry labs. The department has well-qualified & experienced faculty. The department works hard to impart quality education & to keep the Students on the competitive edge of the present day technology.
Academic Strength
The department has eleven qualified & experienced faculty members, out of which three faculty members are more than 25 years experience. Four members have more than 14 years experience. 50 % faculty members are Ph. D./ M. Phil. Faculty members have also published National level papers.
Departmental Activities
We conduct two Tests per semester in each subject. The question papers for two students on the same bench are separate one. The progress report of the students is communicated to their parents.
F.E students measure the sound pollution using sound level meter at various crowded places in Dhule city. They also measure the hardness, chloride content and PH of various water samples in college campus, students also do fieldwork in Environmental Studies related to technical subjects, viz. Sound Pollution and Testing of water samples.
We take the medical test of all F.E. students in every first term.
